Does Armour Thyroid Cause Pain Around The Hips?

I have an unexplained pain on the outside of my right hip. I have not fallen or bumped into anything. I do not have osteoporosis. I do walk every day, but have for several years, so it shouldn t have gotten strained by doing that. I did recently begin taking the Armour thyroid medication (about a week and a half ago). Could that possibly have anything to do with it? The pain is moderately severe when I first stand after sitting or lying down for a while. It seems to get better after I walk a little. It is tender to the touch also. I am 62 years old but in pretty good health. I weigh 132 pounds, and am 5 5 . I ve never had anything like this before.

Hi,

The thigh pain has nothing to do with thyroid medications.

The issue sounds to be possible nerve compression over the lower lumbar spinal level. You must seek an advice of your PCP for this instance.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
