I went to my GP a few days ago with a suspected UTI.When she checked my urine sample it was ok but she sent it off to be checked in the lab.I now am very uncomfortable with pelvic pain and pressure and frequent loo visits.Should I go back to the doctor as I won t have the results for another few days?

Hello,

Thanks for asking a question at HCM

I will be glad to answer it for you

Yes, you have typical symptoms of UTI. In such cases you will be prescribed antibiotics even before the urine report comes.

So, please visit the doctor, so that he can prescribe antibiotic course. Any change she/he can make after the report comes.

Hope this helps

Best Regards

Dr Chaithanya
