Do Medications For BP And Depression Cause Extreme Dryness In Hands?

i take blood pressure medication, triglyceride medication, reflux medication, anti depressant, fish oil & I have experienced severe dry hands & finger tips, my daughter who is a nurse suggested maybe it is a side effect from medication. I have used every kind of hand cream & lotion with no results. Have you ever heard of medications causing severe dry hands?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Medication can sometimes cause changes in the skin so it is possible that one of them is contributing to your problem.

The medications were not listed so it is not possible to determine if one of these causes this particular symptom but you can consider either checking them up yourself or visiting your doctor for an assessment.

If the problem is not related then you may need to see a dermatologist.

I hope this helps
