Do Joint Pain, Headache, Cough And Sores On The Body Indicate Some Infection?

I am a 64 yr. old male, 5 11 ,192 lbs. I have type two diabetes, A-fib and high blood pressure. I am on blood pressure and A-fib medication. I take a daily diabetes med and a Trulicity shot once a week. For the past two weeks, I have experience joint pain, a mild headache, cough and several small sores on my scalp and body. I am concerned about some sort of infection that is causing these help issues.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Your symptoms seem to be related to a viral infection.

I suggest you use anti-inflammatory medication such as Ibuprofen.

I also recommend drinking liquids and resting a lot.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi,
