Do Dents On Cheekbone After Being Hit Suggest Damaged Connective Tissue?

I was beaten badly by my husband on January 5th of this year. As of today, April 4th, I still have two dents on my face-on my cheek bone and above my eye. I just wanted to know what exactly is causing the dent? Connective tissue? Or bone? Thank you, Kathryn Clayton

Hi..
Thanks for your query..

As per your complain you have dent on face on cheek bone and above your eye..
On a human face these both are the most prominent areas and any trauma to face most commonly causes injury to these areas.

A dent can be both due to soft tissue necrosis due to trauma or a bone fracture..

The exact diagnosis of the nature of injury can be made by getting proper x-rays done of the injured areas..

I would suggest you to consult an Oral surgeon and get proper clinical and radiological evaluations done so that the correct treatment plan can be made as and when required..

Hope your query is solved..

Thanks and regards..
