General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

There are symptoms of inflammation involving the upper respiratory tract via bleach inhalation causing mucosa injury of airway. There can be vivid presentation via immediate release of histamine and other inflammatory mediators from the body to combat the condition. Actually, it is the progress of symptoms or persistent deterioration of the existing condition which provokes need to rush to ER; a condition with decreasing intensity of symptoms from first instance, does not need ER visit and many times no medical attention as well.

If you are feeling better than first exposure period, I would suggest to save money spent at ER in terms of high bucks of dollars. What at present you can opt for faster recovery would be
- deep breathing exercises
- walk in fresh air with avoidance of exposure to pollutants
- maintain hydration with plenty of liquids

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
