Do Bromelain And Papain Contain Potassium?

I am a renal RD and a pt wants to take some enzymes. I want to know if bromelain or papain have potassium? If so, roughly how much K+ in mg? Pt s enzyme supplement has 51 mg total of protease, bromelain, & papain per capsule. please advise. Tammy Reyes RD

Bromalain and papain are enzymes and they do not contain potassium. You can easily find out the potassium status by looking at the label of your supplement.
