Dark Purple Black Ring Around Inside The Hole. History Of Gauging The Ears From Eight To Six Gauge. Painful When Putting Plugs In. Infection?

I recently gauged my ears from an eight to a six gauge, probably about three weeks ago. My left ear gas healed, but as I was cleaning them today I noticed that my right ear has a very dark purple almost black ring around the inside of the hole. is there something I can do to help with that, it's only painful when I put the plugs back in, other tgthan that I have no pain in it what do ever. could it be infected?

Hi,
Welcome to HCM,
From your history it seems that there might be few gauges remained in your ears without your knowledge and now there is infection took place.
Consult your doctor and examined and find out that any gauge is there, un removed.
Clean the ear properly with antiseptic lotion and do dressing.
Go for one antibiotic medicine course for healing of infection.
