Thanks for posting your query.

As per the details you produced, your teeth has to be orthodontically corrected if there is malalignment of teeth.

To get perfection in treatment, its better to consult an orthdontist.

The self-treatments as you suggested will give a temporary correction, and in such cases the relapse of teeth to previous position is more frequent.
Please follow an orthodontist'S advice for long lasting results.
Hope this helps.

hello dear makaylaboo,
there are a number of treatment planes to make your teeth straight and in line. the fixed braces treatment at age 14 will only take 2 to 3 years then you will get rid of these braces and your face value, look, smile and teeth alignment will be alright. it depends upon the causes and the etiology of the disease. the 2nd option is removable braces, you will need to remove it when you go to bed and when you have to take food. this is usually taking a long time . the third option is crowning of the malposed teeth. so contact me for detail info regarding your orthodontic treatment . regards,

Dentist Dr. Neha Gupta's  Response
I am Dr.Neha Gupta (dentist) and am glad to address to your query here.

To have straight teeth you can also fit porcelain veneers.
Veneer is thin, 2-3 mm, layer made of porcelain which is inserting on the front side of the teeth. The advantage of the veneer is that to fit it you do not damage natural layer of your own teeth. It can change the color of the tooth as well as the shape and also correct small irregularity of the occlusion.
However, if you are 14 I can highly recommend you a brace.
Because in your age it is very quick and easy to correct the alignment with a brace.
If you don't like to have a visible brace you can consider invisalign or incognito lingual brace... they are completely invisible and correct your alignment like normal brace.

Take care and please keep me informed of your progress at healthcaremagic through my profile directly.

Thanks for asking the query,

Malpositioned teeth can be because of several reasons .These need to be treated as people feel self concious about their appearence , they interfere with chewing , cleaning.

You need to visit to a Orthodontist , he will take x-rays , photographs of your face and teeth, impressions to determine what type of treatment is needed .
Your age is suitable for treatment .

Depending upon the diagnosis duration of treatment is decided.
Removable retainers can be placed to stabilize the new position of teeth.
For most people metal braces are required ..
And for some people who are afraid to put up metal braces making it visible and embarrasing Ceramic brackets with cosmetis fixed braces (tooth coloured ) can be used .

Hope this helps out .
