My son was stung by a honey bee yesterday at 11am. He developed a fever at about 10pm and complained of muscle weakness. He had ibuprofen and woke up feeling much better (70%, he said). His bee sting location is swollen, itchy, and red. At around 2pm today he began complaining again of muscle weakness and fatigue. His fever did not return and he has no other symptoms of illness (no sore throat, cough, stuffy nose, ear ache, head ache, etc.) Question 1. Could the fatigue and fever be related to the bee sting? Question 2: While he has no sign of a rash, we live in lyme-disease area and I wonder if this could be symptoms of lyme disease?
