Hi, I recently was started on Gabapentin for Fibro pain and chronic daily migraine/headaches. It has helped some, but I've started to gain weight back. Over the last 2 years I've lost a 100 lbs. And I'm up nearly 15 lbs since I've started on the med. Oh and its sweets that I crave, it its kinda been a vicious cycle eat - throw up- Eat again cycle.

Hi,
Welcome to Health Care Magic,
I am Dr.Snis Khan,
I have read your question in detail and will try to help you in the best way possible.
Actually gabapentene is used for nerve pain..and the concept that weight gain is due to it is just because if u take gabapentene u may sleep more and it may cause increase in weight gain.
I hope this answered all your queries, if you have more queries,I will be happy to answer.
Wish you the best of health.
Regards.
