Could Subacute Fracture With Sclerosis Be Treated?

I have been having ankle/foot pain for the last 2yrs. I started exercising in August of 2014 and have lost 70lbs. The ankle/foot pain became so bad that I had to rest from exercising every week to every other week. I finally spoke to a healthcare provider in my primary physicians office and they did an Xray and found a fracture of the navicular bone. The write up from the radiologist called it an undiagnosed subacute fracture with sclerosis. My question is if it is an older fracture does that mean one must live with it?
