Could Sleeplessness Be Due To Intoxication?

Last night, I consumed some straight vodka, half a beer, and vodka/cranberry mix on an almost completely empty stomach. I'd eaten a few bites of a meatless burrito about an hour before, and eggs many hours before- I then drank a bottle of water in an attempt to dilute the liquor. It was my first time drinking, and I only weigh 106 pounds- I got slightly trashed. Afterward, I got kind of sick. I was able to sober up enough to drive home and act completely normal around family members, however I got a fever (I felt freezing yet my body was warmer than normal), chills, aches, and I couldn't sleep (tossed and turned all night until I finally got out of bed after 8 horrible hours of lying there). I haven't been getting very much sleep at all as of late: maybe 8 hours over the past 72 (three days). Is there a reason why I became 'sick' after intoxication? Do I need to worry about this every time I drink in the future?

Do you need to worry about taking over 3 drinks in a short period of time ? yes, that is borderline a 'binge' and not very good for you. Is drinking at least a somewhat large amount on an empty stomach in a small person going to always be a problem?... yes, likely it will.
Driving in under 1 hr per drink is going to definitely be dangerous, and in a small person it can take double that amount of time for the alcohol to be even somewhat worn off.
Alcohol can often act as a stimulant: with small amounts, with susceptible people, with other contexts like worry/fear. This is probably a sign of susceptibility to later addiction problems with alcohol (although Far from a guarantee of problems).
