Could Recurring Urinary Tract Infection Be Related To Mirena?

I have had mirena in since May, but got one uti mid July and another two weeks later. I took antibiotics, abstained from sexual activity, wore cotton underwear and practically drown myself with drinking water. Is having a recurring uti related to mirena?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It is unlikely related to mirena. A urine culture has to be done, antibiotics has to be started according to the culture study.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain
