Could Peritonitis Be The Cause For Shortness Of Breath?

Hi, I recently had an emergency appy around Thanksgiving with ensuing peritonitis. I spent the week in the hospital. I was in arial fluter on metoprolol before this, and had an echo. Lately I have been experiencing SOB and chest tightnesswith lightheadedness when I stand up after bending down. Went to family practice doc on Tuesday and he ordered a nuclear stress test for the next day. he said it looks like I had a heart attack. I don t remember having any pain. Now I m scheduled for a cardiac cath on Monday. could peritonitis have played a role in this? What blood tests do I need before my cath?

HI
Well come to HCM
if this was the infective condition you had come through then it is likely that the present symptoms could be due to that only and this need to be ruled out first, although any cardiac symptoms should always be treated in same manner, and should never be taken as granted or underestimated, hope this information helps, take care.
