Could Painful Headache Be Due To Mold?

i woke at 3am with a painful headache coming mostly from the are of my eyes and nose. I tried to eat and drink water and and have vomitted twice today. Its 3pm and my headache is still present and I still can t drink water or take food. I just moved into a basement apartment. Could it be from the mold? The garage is in the basement, but on the other side of the house.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Headache, vomiting with dizziness in basement may be part of carbon monoxide poisoning in many cases. It is best recommended to show up at an ER for primary assessment and further guidelines accordingly.

Till that time, follow basic guidelines:
- Move yourself immediately from the basement area
- Sit in semi reclining chair, preferably in sun light
- Take deep breaths
- Avoid excess liquid intake, which may provoke hyperemesis episodes

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
