Could Orange Coloured Loose Motions Followed By Oily Discharge In A Child Be Caused By Cashews?

Hi Dr. Grief, My three year old has had several orange loose stools today followed by orange oily discharge. He has no fever and no complaints about how he is feeling. The only unusual thing he has eaten over the past few days is cashews. Apparently he loves them- could this be causing the discharge? Thank you

thanks for your question.
how many cashews has he eaten if its like very large amount then greasy stools are likely but not so orange unless some flavour or colouring agent was added to it.
also check for any accidental ingestion of any oil or other substances.
