Could Nausea, Dizziness, Short And Light Periods While Having Tubes Tied Indicate Pregnancy?

I have been nauseated and dizzy for the last 6 days. I had my period over the weekend, but it was light and a LOT shorter than normal. I now have a brownish colored discharge. The smell of food makes me even more nauseated. I go to bed with a headache and wake with one almost everyday. I ve had a tubal ligation 7 years ago when I was 25. Could I still be pregnant? Everything I look into says yes. But I was told it was a very slim chance of that happening.

Hello,

Pregnancy is characterized by complete absence of periods. Periods even though light does not rule out pregnancy. I suggest you to consult your primary healthcare provider for nausea and gynecologist for irregular / short periods.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shailja Puri, Pathologist and Microbiologist
