Could Lump Beneath The Skin At The Area Of Injury Indicate Microfractures?

About three weeks ago at work, I was accidentally struck with a blunt object approximately four inches above my ankle. The wound was located about one and a half inch towards the inside of my calf, just beside the chin. I had localized bruising and pain that subsided with compression bandages and warm compresses during periods of inactivity. However, I have noticed that there is a lump formed beneath my skin. It is stiff but still malleable, but is still very sensitive. Could this be a sign of microfractures? I have no difficulty walking or standing for long periods of time. However, I have been told by my healthcare professionals that I have an incredibly high pain tolerance. Any answer, comment or insight is appreciated!

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
From history there seems to be having two possibilities,
1, Linear fracture on tibia (shin) or,
2, having localized encapsulated hematoma.
Go for x-ray tibia to rule out fracture.
Ok and take care.
