General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Since you have been taking Bupropion HCL for many years, you are experiencing the side effects. Bupropion may cause ototoxic complications like lightheadedness, dizziness or tinnitus. Medicines that may have ototoxic side effects are tricyclic antidepressants, NSAIDS, certain antibiotics, including aminoglycosides, etc. Medications that you are taking can cause dizziness / lightheadedness as s side effect.

You are suggested to get clinically examined by an ENT, get audiology tests done. You have symptoms of tinnitus, you need medicines. Do not do any heavy work. Avoid driving and cut on addictions if any. Discuss the symptoms with your treating doctor so that the medicines can be replaced by the one that suits you better and so that the doses of the other prescription medicines can be monitored.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
