Could Impaired Vison In One Eye Be The Result Of A Head Injury Or High BP?

About four years ago, I fell at work and was knocked out for a few minutes. When I woke I had a hole in my head on the right side. I got 6 staples in my head. Over time I can t see from my right eye. They say it is my blood pressure. I don t think it is. I started having trouble when I hit my head.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Yes, dear it could be. Trauma can damage the optic nerve and this could result in a decline in vision even a complete loss but that will occur during the time of injury.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
