Could Heart Flutters And Breathing Difficulty After Stopping Weed Be Normal?

hi, i have stopped smoking weed for 7 days now. i smoked heavily every day and stopped outright. i have done this before, with only the usual problems, lack of sleep, excess sweating, vivid dreams ect, but this time im getting heart flutters (not so much palputations) that leave me short of breath for a short (few seconds) period and is very worrying. im 6 ft 2, 10 1/2 stone, take nasal spray, im 26, been smoking for 10 years with a 1 1/2 year break, still smoke cigarettes, have recently started to take a berocca a day to suplement my not so great diet.

This is not at all common as a marijuana withdrawal; it is much more common as a side effect from using marijuana. Nasal sprays that contain decongestants/stress hormones can have this side effect.

Purely psychological conditions causing palpitations, shortness of breath, anxiety are very common anyway and are increased with stopping marijuana. But this is more an indicaiton to never use marijuana anymore and the panic attacks go away in months to years. There are many simple cheap medications which treat this.

cannot say in yoru particular case and an ekg during the symptoms would show what is going on. it might not be much on the EKG if there is purely psychological problems.
