OBGYN, Maternal and Fetal Medicine 's  Response
Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Unilateral agenesis or absence of kidney in the fetus is a development anomaly in the fetus. It is a congenital anomaly which occurs in many syndromes, chromosomal anomalies or rarely isolated. CAT scan during pregnancy can lead to congenital anomalies in fetus, and can lead to such a condition.
I would suggest you to consult a fetal medicine specialist so that a detailed anomaly ultrasound can be done and amniocentesis can be done if required.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Wishing you good health.
