Could Hard Spot On The Prostrate Gland Be Due To Cancer?
On a recent physical exam my doctor felt a hard spot on my prostate gland and referred me to a proctologist. The proctologist also felt the hard spot and performed an ultrasound and obtain samples for a biopsy. My PSA is 2.5 and I am asymptomatic. What worries me is that there was a dark spot on the ultrasound. Does that mean there is a greater likelihood that cancer is present?
To be accurate, we should wait for the biopsy results. But i must tell u that prostate cancer is present in the periphery of the gland thats why u may not experience urinary symptoms or any ither symptoms at all until the cancer progresses. So do get the biopsy result
