Could Extreme Lower Back Pain Along With Diarrhoea Be Due To Bactrim?

My mother is 90 years old. In December 2014 she was diagnosed with in her legs and put on Bactrim and Lasix. She had an allergic reaction to both - they think she is allergic to sulfa drugs. She was then placed on Edecrin. Also, they ordered a Medrol pack for her and she was using cortisone cream on her legs. In January she started to feel nauseous in the morning, she then developed diarrhea. She was put on a bland diet and treated for the symptoms. It is 2 months later and she is not any better. She also has had extreme low back pain. Can any of these symptoms be due to the treatments she received for her legs in December?
