Could Excessive Physical Strain Lead To Severe Knee Pain?

I suffer from knee pain sometimes when i do Karate, and more chance when i Jog. I was 20 when I really felt it with much pain and now I am 21. When I get kick (round house), there is a small chane that it triggers the pain and when it does, i cant move or bend it that much. What is wrong with me? By thw way, it is only my right knee. Could it be possible that my body is not built for karate or extensive use of knee?

Hi there.

Such sort of knee problems are common in athletes.
You are either suffering from a meniscus injury or chondromalacia patellae (meaning degeneration of the cartilage of the patella. )

I would advis you to stop ttraining temporarily.
Get an MRI of knee done.....consult an orthopedician.

Take anti inflammatory medicine like Etoricoxib .
Apply cold compresses with ice packs.

Rest of the treatment will depend on result of MRI

I hope my advice has helped
Good luck
