Could Elevated Lymphocytes Be Due To Bacterial Infection?

my son has a fever so I took him to our local clinic, he was tested for strep, flu, and mycoplasma all were negative. but had some abnormal blood lymphocytes of 9.4% and lymphocytes absolute 0.6x10E/ul and his neutrophils 86.9%, neutrophils absolute 5.7 x10e3/ul everything else was normal . She said he might have a bacteria infection but did not sound sure, should I take him to another doctor.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Yes that sounds like a bacterial infection.
Has he been prescribed antibiotics?
What are the medications he's getting?
Observe for a week,if the symptoms resolve, then its fine, but if not, then you should take him back to the doctor for further follow up and investigations.
