Could Constant Tiredness Be Related To Low Heart Rate And Low BP?
My husband is taking a blood pressure medicine. He went to the dr. and had it check and it was 110/68 and his heart rate was 49 He is a 68 year old and works out at least 2 times a week He had a light heart attack about 13 yrs. ago and had one stint put in. All of his other blood work is normal. I fill like he sleeps all the time. He falls asleep about 4 times a day and is continually nodding of during the day. Could this low blood pressure and low heart rate have any thing to do with his low energy? He hasn t had a stress test in about 5 yrs. Should he get one?
Hello, His blood pressure is very normal. His heart rate is low. Some blood pressure medications called beta blockers can cause low heart rate and fatigue. He should speak to his doctor about whether or not the blood pressure medication is causing him to be tired all the time. It is more likely a side effect of the blood pressure medication than the low pulse. Regards
