Could A Bent Birth Control Implant Be Ineffective?

I have an implant inserted in 2014 April, lately I suspect its bent and I am gaining a lot of weight and looks rather pregnant. I bleed heavily for 2 to 3 days after intercourse . I have a serious back pain and my breasts are growing and getting sore. I sometimes feel movements in my tummy. Could I be pregnant?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Let me tell you that t is not possible to receive a diagnosis or a definitive treatment without being evaluated by a doctor or other qualified health professional.

I suggest that you make an appointment to see the doctor who inserted the implant. He or she would be best equipped to counsel you on the appropriate next steps.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Prabhash Verma, General & Family Physician
