Could Dulcolax Taken For Constipation Have Side Effects During Pregnancy?

Hi , i am in my first trimester. My doctor said I can take dulcolax for constipation. I have been taking it up to four times a week for the past three weeks. I am also changing my diet to avoid foods that bother me so as not to need them long term. But I am reading conflicting information regarding it s safety. I hope to stop from today and on, but I am worried that I may have hurt my baby?

There have been a few conflicting views, but from my practise I have not seen even one reported case about ill effects or side effects. Your baby shpuld be fine ma'am, do not worry. In most of those cases, there would have been sone other contributing factor.
