Child With Loose Stools, Fever And Cold After Eating Ice Creams. Treatment?

Hello Doctor,

My 2 1/2 yrs old son having severe fever, cold and loose motion(Watery). Doc suggest me to give Dolophor-M, Solvin Cold, Aziwin,(Before Meal) and sporlac.DS,LACFID(After meal). He ate these medicines only(Dolophor-M, Solvin Cold, Aziwin) . Day before y'day he ate lot of icecreams. The cold is due to Icecream(we thought)

He doen't eat anything( Even water)

He is having loose motion still.

Please suggest me some useful tips to maintain his health.

Thanks,
Menaga.

Pediatrician 's  Response
Dear Menaga,

Please be assured that your son is having a viral infection, and does not need too many medicines. What he does need is your parental concern, attention to his nourishment (you could, in fact, give stuff like custard, china grass, boiled egg, rice with curds, lime juice, mangoes (in small amount), potatoes (boiled and mashed with salt and pepper), banana (mashed with sugar and milk with chapati), and such stuff.
