Child Hit Her Forehead. Applied Ice. She Acted Normally. Bumped Again On The Same Spot. Problem?

Hi my two year old fell and hit her forehead on the footboard of my bed a few days ago and we applied ice and watched her, checked her pupils, she acted and played normally, I even checked her overnight and she woke fine and was ok the next day.. Tonight her brother and herself were paying and and rolling around on the floor and she bumped it again in the same spot!!!! :( we put ice on it again the best we could, and she is playing and acting fine but I'm and over reactive worried mom.. Should I be concerned?

The first thing to look for in anyone whose took a hit to the head is loss of consciousness. based on your description, it doesn't seem like that occurred. Applying ice is appropriate. The nest period to watch is the first 24 hours after being hit. As long as there is no vommiting or alteration/loss of consciousness in the first 24 hours, there is nothing to worry about. A second hit to the same spot doesn't change this thinking. However, I would start a new 24 hour clock from the time of the second hit. In the abscence of any of these sypmtoms, regular activity is encouraged.
