Child Has Painful Legs, As An Infant Had Difficulty Standing. Why Does This Happen?

My 5 1/2 year old son is in pain when he puts his legs completely flat on the floor. As a baby, when he started walking he had trouble and was said to be bold legged. He loves to run fast, jump and is active. But on rare occasions he wakes up in pain. What can I do and why does it hurt him to put the back of the knees on the floor?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

There is a possibility that your son is suffering from growing pain.

you could give him painkillers and massage his legs when he has pain.If the problem continues for a while you could get him examined by his doctor to rule out other causes of pain.

Regards
Take Care.
