Can you get a home test for cholesterol ?

My boyfriend has been told he has very high chloresterol and needs it checked often. Does anyone know if you can buy home tests or if only the doc/nurse can check it?

You can check out for home tests. They are very inexpensive. To be safe, your boyfriend may be better off to go to a doctor. Depending on his levels, his doctor may want to check it every year or more often after he's changed his diet. If a change of diet doesn't make a difference in his levels, he may need to be put on a lipid-lowering med.
