Can Withdrawal From Chewing Tobacco Cause Sore Gums And White Spots?

Hi, i recently quit chewing tabbacco and one spot along my gums has been sore. Its white but like dead skin and can be pealed off but than its there the next day. should i be concerned its sore after a week and a half. also the roof my mouth is whitish it doesnt hurt and its not hard to swallow or anything but should i be worried about that?<br>

In regard to your query I like to assure you that it is normal reaction and there is little to worry about white patches.

When you stop chewing tobacco the mucosal membrane tries to regenerate itself to the original level and causes some sort of peeling for a period of two to four weeks. So it can be said that it is completely normal provided there is no pain or other symptoms.
