Can Vitamin B12 Taken Orally Be Absorbed And Metabolised?

Doctor,
I learn that vit. b12 given orally is not absorbed or metabolised. What is required is intrnsic factor and the extrisic which forms VIT 12.HENCE some years back vit.12 was given only as injections. Here inrtinsic factor is questionable which is present in acidity-acidic medium in stomach. Many doctors prescribe even Methyle cobalmin and H2 antagonistics orally that can affect the absorption of orally given cobalmin.
Whether oral Vit 12 can be useful in neuropathy?
