Can Ulcers Lead To Vomiting?

we have a daughter that has been vomiting for the past for days some of it black and some yellow she has been to the emergency room but they said she has an old ulcer and that the linning of her throat raw from throwing up but they don't really say what causing it and her white blood count was up.
