Hi, i am 8 months pregnant & had been suffering from mild fever since last monday (oct 10). I was asked to take urine & blood culture. There is no growth in blood culture, but the urine culture showed some presence of bacteria. My physician said the number of colonies is NOT that significant, but still she cannot ignore it. She has given Martifur 100mg to be taken for next 5 days. She also mentioned that this antibiotic is safe during pregnancy. I started taking this medicine from yday night & from today i noticed that my urine is slight yellow in color. I am not sure if that s due to this antibiotic. Can you pls help me understand? Also, iam worried about the impact of this bacterial infection on my baby. Can i take normal diet? Can i take the usual iron & calcium tablets (i,.e recommended till my delivery) along with martifur? Kindly clarify my queries.
