Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns.

As per your complain it seems that there is infection in throat known as Pharyngitis and although you have got the tonsils removed but the infection in throat caused by bacteria or virus can very much happen and you need not to worry about it as it can be a regular throat infection..

You can take a course of antibiotics like Augmentin or azithromycin..
Take anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen..
Do warm saline gargles and steam inhalations..
You can chew Vitamin C pellets as it helps in boosting immunity..
You can take plenty of warm water throughout the day..
Avoid spicy and chilled foods..
You can gargle with a numbing mouthwash containing Lignocaine..
Continue for 7 days and in case if there is no improvement consult an ENT expert and get evaluated..
Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
