Can Thyroid Test Be Taken While On Armour Thyroid?

I have been taking 30 mg armour thyroid daily for 6 weeks. I am having blood work to check my t3 and t4. Should I hold my dose of armour until after the test? Also the only thing that is low is my t3 and the doc does t know why my TSH is .832 and t4 is.90. Clearly these two are within range. My t3 is 1.9 which is low. Any idea why?

Hi,

Please do not stop the medications till the reports come. Even if the reports says your T3, T4 levels are fine, that's only because of the medications you are currently on. Usually, TSH rises when there is less T3 and T4 because of malfunction in the thyroid gland.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
