Can The Right Flank Pain Be Caused By Muscle Strain?
I have been having severe right flank pain for 2 weeks with little to no relief. I went to urgent care and they did a urinalysis but didn t find anything kindey related. They sent me home with a diagnosis of a muscle strain and a prescription of naproxen. The naproxen helps very little with the pain and I find myself having to take ibuprofen a few hours after. The pain is worse when walking and not relieved by a heating pad or ice. The pain is also present when I lay down and often wakes me up, preventing me from getting comfortable to sleep. Would a muscle strain last this long and not be relieved by pain medications? Could it be something else? I also see a chiropractor monthly and went last week but being adjusted didn t help the pain. The pain has come and gone. Some days are worse than others, with no pain being present on some days.
