Can The Bruise On Cheek Go Away On Its Own?

My 4 year old son walked into a door knob and bruised his cheek. It swelled up and tuned slightly black and blue. He did not break the kin. It is now 2 weeks later and there is till a black and blue mark over what appears to be hard tidy under the skin. When he smiles it creates a slight dimple. Will it go away?

Hi,
From history it seems that your child might be having hematoma on cheek, now encapsulated with fibrous tissues.
Nothing to worry.
Apply ice pack 2-3 times a day for few days.
Apply thrombophob cream locally.
Gradually it will be absorbed.
Ok and take care.
