Can Taking Percocet Cause Low Blood Pressure?

I had gall bladder and hernia surgery on Monday. I feel okay except I have a throbbing headache. My blood pressure is measuring 100/59. Normally I take metroprol for high blood pressure. Is there cause for concern? I have been on Percocet since the surgery but only had one pill today. Trying to stop taking them ans switch to regular Tylenol .

Dear User,

Thanks for using health care magic.

For a person who is receiving anti hypertensive such kind of low blood pressure can not be explained by your current medication. There is possibility they have conducted surgery under spinal anesthesia which can cause both low blood pressure and throbbing headache. Other than this percolet can explain only 10-20 mm hg drop in blood pressure not this much causing 100/59. You need to check other medcines which may be causing low blood pressure.

'Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help".
Thanks
