Can Smoking Marijuana Cause Skipped Heart Beats?

I have a male friend that smokes marijuana daily. At times his heart skips beats and he does not feel well. He has been to the doctor and they say his heart is healthy. I do not think he told the doctor about smoking marijuana. Could weed be the cause of his abnormal heart beat?

hello user - i understand your concerns . "yes" marijuana can cause heart rate and blood pressure abnormalities especially during early uses , and with time being few people adapt to it while few do not - The risk is even more with people already having a cardiac condition or its risk factors like obesity , lipid abnormalities or family history - The symtoms can also be due to anxiety or primary cardiac condition - so reporting the physician about its use will help them in evaluation and management . Take care
