Can sickle cell carrier presence determine paternity ?

Can sickle cell carrier presence determine paternity? Neither the mother nor possible father are carriers, does this establish that the alleged father is not the father? Should he perform a dna-paternity test?

Hi welcome to Healthcaremagic

Hi..., The sickle cell anemia is not a X liked disorder, it is a autosomal recessive disorder..
only the x liked or y liked disorder will be concerned with like paternity problem..
Do not think and worry about this, get the child treated for the disease, before the condition deteriorates..
Hope I have answered your question..
