Can Semen Falling On Genitals Cause Pregnancy?

Hi Doctor, I'm a 27 years married women, and do not want to get pregnant. Unfortunately while having the oral sex and masturbation I got some drops of my husband's semens on my genitals. I washed the area instantly. Can you please suggest me that weather this can leads to pregnancy?

Hi and welcome to HCM.

A small drop of semen sufficient to cause pregnancy. Even if you had washed your genitals immediately, one cannot rule out the risk of pregnancy as you cannot make out if a small drop has entered vaginas or not.

So don't take risk if you are not planning for baby. You should have taken a emergency contraceptive pills. If you miss your next periods then contact a local doctor to terminate pregnancy.

I strongly suggest you to use a regular oral contraceptive pills or condoms as a birth control method since you are not planning a baby.

All the best
