Now on sulfasalazine 1000 mg day and night.MRI and x ray diagnosis bilateral sacroilitis. Will it affect other joints and is it curable. Anemia is now cured. Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

You are suffering from ankylosing spondylitis. Bilateral sacroilitis is sign of this disease. It is one type of chronic inflammatory arthritis affecting large joints. It may spread to involve both hip joints and knee joints. Progress of disease varies in different patients. In long standing disease hip and spine joints may get fused.

Please visit rheumatologist for detailed examination.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
