Hello and welcome,

Yes, autoimmune hypothyroidism (Hashimoto's thryoiditis) have association with viral infections.
Hashimoto's thryoiditis is an autoimmune condition that the body (host) immune system reacts against own thyroid gland causing inflammation of the gland. Certain viruses are structurally resembles thyroid tissue or the viruses hide in the thyroid gland which leads the immune system to attack the gland and cause inflammation. Human herpes viruses (both HHV-1 and HHV-2) was found to be strongly associated with hashimoto's thryoiditis.
Urinary tract infections (UTI) are usually caused by bacteria. Bacterial infections may also cause autoimmune disorders but the association of UTI with autoimmune thyroid diseases has not been shown yet.

I hope the above information will be helpful for you. Please, feel free to ask me if there is anything else you need to know.

Thank you,
