Can Radiation Therapy For Throat Cancer Cause A Lump On The Neck?

MY MOTHER HAD RADIATION AND CHEMO, FOR 2 MASSES IN HER THROAT, RADIATION ENDED 2 MONTHS AGO. NOW SHE HAS DEVELOPED A LUMP ON THE OUTSIDE OF HER THROAT, THE DOC SAYS ITS A RADIATION BUMP AND MAY OR MAY NOT GET BIGGER, COULD THIS BE POSSIBLE OR IS MY MOTHER BEING HER SWEET SELF AND WITH HOLDING INFO.....

These bump could be related to radiation. Anyway, if it gets bigger, I would recommend performing needle biopsy to help exclude other possible causes.
