Can Proper Diet Cure Type 2 Diabetes?

My daughter has just been diagnosed with diabetes type 2 and I m concerned as diabetes runs in my family. She is 38 y.o. and has been prescribed a medication called Metaford (I think), she also has a weight issue that she knows she has to control. She finally had herself tested both urine and blood as she has frequent urination at night. What are the changes of her getting rid of the diabetes and is it possible with proper diet.

Though there are not chances of completely curing diabetes,but you dont need to worry,proper diet control,life style modification,and medications if necessary can help to control the disease properly with minimum effects on health for several years.I have seen patients who diabetes for decades and doing properly fine because of their proper health concern and diabetic control
